Reporting to the CFO, the Controller provides comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing and reporting of financial statements and key metrics.  Develops, implements and maintains financial controls and guidelines.  Oversees Accounting department and works with various other directors.


Essential Functions

  1. Lead and direct the Accounting department
  2. Manage review and reporting of the company financial statements
  3. Oversee annual audit
  4. Oversee the tax department
  5. Accounting system administration
  6. Establish/implement/monitor policies and procedures
  7. Work closely with CFO on financial opportunities

  5. Planning and Organizing: Setting priorities and defining actions, time, and resources needed to achieve predefined goals.
  6. Results Orientation: Being persistent and showing perseverance on achieving concrete and tangible results out of personal responsibility; getting optimum results from situations and being ready to take action and show tenacity in case of obstacles or resistance.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
  2. 10+ years progressive accounting experience
  3. Working knowledge of finance-related law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
  4. Prior Controller/CFO experience for medium to large size company

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Prior Controller/CFO experience with privately-held medium to large size company
  2. CPA highly preferred
  3. Accounting system implementation experience
