JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
As a seasoned marketing professional with 5-7 years of experience, this role will be responsible for leading creative content initiatives, shaping brand voice, and producing high-concept, strategic, and persuasive copy across multiple channels. Reporting to the Creative Director this is a senior member of the Creative team that will mentor junior staff and require minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
- Connecting the Verizon and Cellular Sales brands with language and tone that tells our story
- Writing world-class work for social, email, website, digital advertising, merchandising, radio, and much more
- Collaborating with the Creative Director, designers, copywriters, developers, videographers and photographers, editors, and Marketing counterparts: all in-house
- Presenting concepts to Creative and Marketing leadership with confidence
- Mentor other writers by editing and fact-checking their work while actively working on your own
- Collaborating with our SEO specialist to implement SEO best practice
- Prioritizing projects and workload to meet business needs and deadlines

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit for long periods. Must have reliable transportation
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience
- 4-year degree
- BA in English, Journalism, or Creative Writing preferred
- 5-7 years of experience at an agency or in-house team
Preferred Experience
- Experience with technology brands, B2B or Recruitment Marketing preferred
- An ability to lead Creative concept initiatives, shape brand voice, and produce persuasive and strategic copy across multiple channels
- Ability to proofread content for grammatical accuracy and maintain style consistency across pieces
- Public speaking skills to present work clearly and confidently
- A positive, outgoing attitude with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with others

Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range
$85,000 - $95,000 annually depending on experience and skill level.
