JOB DESCRIPTION
The Buyer purchases the organization’s required materials and services at the right price, from the right source, at the right specification to meet customer needs and delivery.
Essential Functions

- Orchestrate and manage service/materials delivery coordination in support of the markets and store locations.
- Utilize various ticketing systems to receive and resolve requests.
- Analyze, research, evaluate and manage various categories of indirect spend.
- Manage RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Negotiate buying terms with suppliers, including pricing and delivery terms.
- Resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers.
- Proactively reviews market conditions to minimize supply chain commodity and service risks.
- Supplier relationship management to include supplier reviews and non-compliance.
- Reporting and analytics
- Effectively communicate with various internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing may be required at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary Monday through Friday.
Travel
Up to 10% travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- 2-year degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience purchasing materials and services
Preferred Education and Experience
- 4-year degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
- Experience negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery
- Experience reviewing invoicing for accuracy
- Experience issuing and reviewing RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs
- Vendor management and conflict resolution
- Experience with Service Now and/or other ticketing systems
