JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The position provides support to the HR Benefits Supervisor as well as the HR Department as a whole. The main tasks include facilitating FMLA processes, respond to employee questions regarding leave of absence, review current employee benefit programs to ensure adherence to company goals. Make recommendations to improve processes and efficiency.
Essential Functions

1. Manage, monitor, and provide updates for FMLA/LOA including individual state Paid Family Leaves.
2. Manage insurance premium arrears payments and update records
3. Update LOA/FMLA Insurance Payments spreadsheet and provide invoice to employees at the end of the year.
4. Manage and process updates to company intranet (Connect) website for HR department.
5. Assist with other HR responsibilities including:
a. Employee concerns (via phone calls/emails)
b. PlanSource login issues/password resets as needed
c. Verifications of Employment as needed
d. Provide EAP information to employees involved in an escalation/store robbery/disturbance
6. Provide support to other parts of the department on an as needed basis
7. Cross training on Benefits billing

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position operating during the work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. General office work
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience working with employee processes
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Proficient with Microsoft/Outlook
2. Proficient with Excel spreadsheets
