- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed network documentation (configurations, topologies, procedures) and report project progress to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex network issues, act as the final technical authority with vendors, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Security & Compliance: Design and enforce network security policies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs) with the security team, ensuring PCI compliance and proactive monitoring.
- Performance Monitoring & Capacity Planning: Use tools (e.g., Datadog, SolarWinds) to monitor performance, assess usage trends, and plan for scalability, incorporating cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Mentoring, Training & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior engineers/administrators, train Operations Support, and facilitate cross-team knowledge sharing to build technical expertise.
- Vendor Management & Innovation: Partner with vendors to evaluate solutions and research emerging technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, AI-driven analytics) to future-proof the network.
- Strategic Planning & Process Improvement: Contribute to long-term network strategies and continuously enhance processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and security.
